The
Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) is a training scheme run by
Southend Teacher Training Partnership Limited. The Partnership is a
consortium of schools, working with South East Essex College and the
Local Authority, drawing upon many years of experience of
training Primary and Secondary teachers. We have established a good
track record with more than 400 colleagues entering the profession
through GTP since 2003. Last year alone, well over half the
newly qualified entrants to teaching in Southend schools came
through our programme. |

So
what’s in it for you? |
|
|
You can earn a salary as you train. Salary range
starts at £14,000 but may be negotiable depending on your previous
experience. A training grant is also available. You can live at home
and work locally - no need to travel long distances for training and
teaching practice. You will be based in a local school where you can
learn from experienced practitioners and skilled professionals. We
can offer a flexible route through the programme and we take account
of your existing skills and previous experience. You will receive
support from a Mentor who will monitor your progress and ensure that
your Training Plan is right for you.
